This course consists of twelve online modules that will that will evaluate the students’ knowledge of the USACE Hydrology Indicators for all 10 regions. Students are welcome to compete them at their own pace during the 16-week time frame. In addition to the modules, there is a field work project that needs to be coordinated with the instructor.

The class concludes with a review of your field work and a final exam. Upon successful completion of the class and a grade of 80% or higher, you will earn Certified Hydric Soils Investigator (CHSI) status and receive a certificate as well as an electronic seal to use on reports and proposals. This certification is valid for five years and is eligible for renewal with additional continuing education. the Certified Hydric Soils Investigator (CHSI) is part of The Swamp School’s overall Certified Wetland Delineator Program (CWD).

Certification

Final exam (80%) to verify your proficiency in wetland hydrology identification. Once you pass these requirements you will become a Certified Wetland Hydrologist (CWH). As a Certified Wetland Hydrologist, you will receive a certificate and an electronic seal that can be used for reports and proposals. This certification will remain valid for 5 years and is eligible for renewal with additional continuing education. The Certified Wetland Hydrologist is part of the Swamps School’s overall Certified Wetland Delineator Program (CWD).

*A minimum overall grade of 80% is required to pass this class.
