The Swamp School, LLC (“Swamp School” or “we”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our practices concerning the information collected by this and all other present or any future Swamp School owned web sites and domains. This Policy applies to all personal information we collect or process about you. As used in this Policy, “Personal Information” is information, or a combination of pieces of information, that could reasonably allow you to be identified. 

In this Policy we describe what information we collect when you use our Services, how we protect that information, how long we retain it, with whom we share it, and what your privacy options are. By using the Services, as defines in the Terms of Use, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in this Policy. The Policy is incorporated by reference into and is made a part of the Terms of Use.

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will  be updated here,  with its effective date.  Swamp School  will notify you by email or by means of a notice on our Website. Your continued use of the Services after our posting of changes to this Privacy Policy means that you agree to be bound by such changes.

Swamp School protects your privacy using technology that provides  you a secure online experience. Generally, billing and personal information is encrypted whenever transmitted or received online. Personal information is accessible only to authorized employees or agents of Swamp School. To protect the security of information supplied, all employees and agents are assigned unique usernames and secure passwords to access personal information.

What we collect:

During the registration process required to use Swamp School Services and educational content, the personal information you provide to us may include, name, professional title, address, phone, fax, email address, username and password, billing information, transaction, and credit card information.

When you browse our web site, you do so anonymously. We may log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which part of our web site you visit and how long you spend there. Swamp School does not link your IP address to any Personal Information unless you have logged in to our web site. However, the Swamp School web site may use a standard technology called a “cookie” to collect information about how you use the site. Please see “Use of Cookies” below for more information.

Our Services are intended for general audiences over the age of 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 16 years old. 

How we use your Personal Information:

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

To make the site easier for you to use by not making you enter your personal information more than once.

To deliver services that you request or purchase.

To help you effectively complete your educational requirements.

To help us create and publish content most relevant to you.

To alert you of product upgrades, special offers, updated information and other new services provided from The Swamp School.

To provide feedback in an online survey.

To participate in promotional offers.

To request assistance or fill out support requests.

To otherwise allow you to use the Services in a manner that you have requested.

Webinars and Courses:

In addition to the uses described above, if you are enrolled in and/or take any of our classes or related Services, we may use the registration information you provide, including personal information, to use through your account for managing and processing purposes, including but not limited to tracking attendance, progress and completion of a class. As part of our administration of classes, we may use this information to proctor exams, projects, and other assessments for each Course and/or Webinar. For example, as part of a Webinar that provides CE hours or credits, we will use certain information collected from you in order to verify your identity or to monitor your performance during the exam to confirm that you are abiding by the rules or requirements for obtaining CE credits.

Who we share Personal Information with:

Swamp School will never sell  or rent your personal information.  

When you register for Swamp School classes or other services, will not share your information with third parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions listed in this Policy. It will only be used for the purposes stated above. We use personal information to reply to inquiries, handle complaints, provide operational notices, keep records up to date to notify you via periodic e-mails of technical service issues, specials, or other related product/service information. Your information may be shared with our agents or contractors for the sole purpose of performing service for Swamp School.

We use third-party payment providers who will use your personal information to process payment, subject to their own privacy policies.

Additionally, for any continuing education eligible classes, we may share information provided to us as well as information regarding your completion of a class with the organization issuing continuing education certificates, including without limitation, for the purpose of verifying your eligibility for the continuing education credits.

Swamp School, LLC may disclose your Personal Information with law enforcement agencies, courts, other government authorities, or other third parties when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is appropriate in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, and/or to protect the rights and property of Swamp School, our employees, agents, users, and the public, or to comply with all egal obligations. This may involve the sharing of your information with law enforcement, government agencies, courts, and/or other organizations.

Internet Commerce Options

The online registration at Swamp School is designed to give you options concerning the privacy of your credit card information, name, address, e-mail and any other information you provide us. Swamp School is committed to data security with respect to information collected on our site. We offer the industry standard security measures available through your browser called SSL encryption. If at any time you would like to purchase Services, but do not want to provide you credit card information online, you may contact a customer service representative over the telephone. How We Protect the Security of your Personal Information:

Swamp School strictly protects the security of your personal information. We use appropriate technology  and other measures to protect your information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

We use SSL encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card and personal information. Credit card numbers are only used for processing payment and are not used for other purposes. Our efforts to protect credit card fraud help protect your financial data security. As part of real-time payment processing, we subscribe to a fraud management service. This service gives both you and Swamp School an extra level of protection to guard against credit card fraud.

Your personal information is never shared outside the company without your permission, except under conditions explained above. We store data in password-controlled servers with limited access. We also limit access to information about you to employees who reasonably need access to it to provide products and services to you, or in order to do their jobs. However, because no security can be 100% effective, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any information we have collected from you. You also have a significant role in protecting your information. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your username and password, so do not share these with others.  If you have reason to believe that the personal information that we hold about you is no longer secure, please contact us immediately as described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention of Your Information:

We retain the information we collect about and from you for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose we collected it for and for the purpose of satisfying any legal requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for the personal information we process, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your information, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

Access to your Personal Information:

We provide you with the means to ensure that your Personal Information is correct and current. You may review and update Personal Information at any time by logging into your account. You can:

View and edit personal information you have already given us.

Register and resume courses, curriculum and obtain product updates.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as password and username, before granting access to your data.

Use of Cookies

Our web sites are not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information. Our site may generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as number of hits and visits to our sites. This information is used for internal purposes only. These statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.

However, Swamp School web sites use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience all of the interactive features of the Swamp School” s current website of any other website in the future.
