2010 Ecological Restoration UnConference

What is an UnConference?

An unconferenceis a facilitated, participant-driven conference centered around a theme or purpose. The term "unconference" has been applied, or self-applied, to a wide range of gatherings that try to avoid one or more aspects of a conventional conference, such as high fees and sponsored presentations.

We are hoping to keep the registration fee down to just covering lunch and the facility rental. Our goal is to keep it under $20. To do this we need help getting the word out about this unconference. Please post this Wiki page as a link on your website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc. Please use this short link to post on File:twitter-a.png : http://bit.ly/4lPqlR

Thanks for your help!

Session Topic: The Business of Green.

Moderator: Marc Seelinger

Participants in this session will explore economic opportunities in the sustainability movement. Topics may include job creation, the marketing of green building products and services, and return on investment for green strategies.

A Green Business is not simply a matter of compliance or risk management. Business is increasingly recognizing the many competitive advantages and business opportunities to be gained from eco-sustainability and green marketing.

World-wide evidence indicates people are concerned about the environment and are changing their behavior accordingly. As a result there is a growing market for sustainable and socially responsible products and services. The types of businesses that exist, the products they produce and their approaches to marketing are changing.

Suggested Topics

New Wetland Delineation Manuals
Private sector mitigation banking
In-lieu fee banking
New stream restoration approaches
Green Jobs
Carbon neutral initiatives
