The Swamp School
Wetland Delineation Training and  Environmental Training

We have found over the years of teaching classes that some of the topics we cover offer more information than students can absorb in a week long seminar. Ideally, many of the subjects we cover should take a semester or two. However, most of our students are in professional fields and it is impracticable to incorporate this type of class into everyone's busy schedule. In addition, travel costs and logistics make this all but impossible.

Until now!

Our eLearning program offers the convenience of on-line training with all of the interaction of the classroom. Our courses are a blend of on-line home/office classwork with weekly assignments, opportunities to ask questions live and via email, classroom discussions via the forums and live chat sessions with the class.

Several of our courses require field work that is scheduled within the class. Travel costs are greatly reduced because students are only traveling for the field work. This saves on additional hotel stays, meals and time away from family. It is also easier to schedule in two or three days out of the office as opposed to an entire week. In the event that the student cannot make the scheduled dates for the field class, we offer the option of taking the field class the next time it is offered. This is usually with in month or two of the last class.

The major benefit to this type of learning experience is that when you are ready to go out into the field you are fully prepared. You have had the time to study and understand the classroom material and the ability to ask questions of the instructor and other students, all on your own schedule.
