This new online continuing education class is designed for middle and high school teachers. This class is designed to meet the new subject matter continuing education requirements for science teachers. This class includes 1 CEU (10 hours of online instruction and activities) and is perfect for:
- Middle School Science Teachers
- Environmental Science Teachers
- Biology Teachers
- Earth Science Teachers
- Natural Science Teachers
- Geo-Science Teachers

The class includes hands-on activities that can be taught in the classroom as well as fun outdoor curricula that can be incorporated into schoolyard habitat programs. The specific goal of this continuing education class is to help you help your students gain a mastery of natural science concepts. This differentiated instruction includes multiple learning methods including workshops, labs, research techniques, and classroom based learning. Students will learn how to adapt instruction to accommodate the needs of the full range of diverse learners in today’s schools.
The class is offered online and can be worked on from any PC or MAC without the need to download any software.

Watersheds in the Classroom
Understanding watersheds and how we all fit into them is the key focus of this class. Teachers will learn the main concepts about watersheds including:
- What is a watershed
- What is a watershed plan
- How is a watershed plan put together
- What can your students do to affect their watershed

The class includes video presentations, resource materials, quizzes, and lesson plans. This differentiated instruction includes multiple learning methods including workshops, labs, research techniques, and classroom based learning. Students will learn how to adapt instruction to accommodate the needs of the full range of diverse learners in today’s schools. The class is offered online and can be worked on from any PC or MAC without the need to download any software. This class also includes 1 CEU (10 hours of online instruction and activities).

The Dirt on Soil
Learning soil science in the classroom
This 10 hour (1CEU) continuing education class will present a number of topics on soil science with an emphasis on wetland soils and includes:
- Soil Profile Descriptions
- Hydric Soil Characteristics
- Soil Taxonomy
- Soil Texture Identification
- What do different soil colors mean
