Wetland Delineation Training – Online or Classroom – NEW 2010 Rules

Accurate wetland delineations are a necessity for many types of land use projects. When you need to expand your business capabilities and hone your skills, this intensive combination of classroom and field training will teach you what you need to know and provide valuable hands-on delineation experience. This traditional 38-hour wetlands delineation class covers the current and proposed USACOE wetlands delineation methods as well as the recent Rapanos decision. This online version has been accepted as suitable training for the various States that require wetland delineation certification training.

New for 2009! This class has been prepared for individuals that need a working knowledge of the regulatory and business aspect of wetlands. If you are in industry or any other land use business this class is a great primer on what you need to know. Topics covered include:

  • The history of wetlands regulation in the United States
  • The laws regulating the use of wetlands
  • What is a wetland from a legal sense
  • What business opportunities do wetlands present

The class is offered entirely online and is approximately 4 hours in length. There are a number of quizzes and activities to reinforce the course content and also to make it fun. 2008 Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain Interim Regional Supplement Classroom Training

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announced on December 4, 2008 the publication and one-year trial implementation period of the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain Interim Regional Supplement to the 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual. This document is included in a series of Regional Supplements to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual, which provides technical guidance and procedures for the identification and delineation of wetlands that may be subject to regulatory jurisdiction under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act. This seminar has been prepared for wetland delineators already trained in the 1987 Manual. The course will provide specifics on how to use the new Regional Supplements and how fieldwork will be affected.
